Editorial Board


Jae Brown

Jae Brown is a current history graduate student with a bachelor’s degree in history & Philosophy, and is an active student within the history department and the outstanding UCCS community; she frequently studies and researches propaganda and intellectual history, Medieval philosophy, and Asian American history. Her activities internally & externally at UCCS are being the President of the History Graduate Student Alliance (HGSA) and Phi Alpha Theta-Tau Chi Chapter (PAT, History Honors Society). Also, she is the current College of Letters of Arts & Sciences (LAS) Senator in the university’s Student Government Association (SGA) and is the LAS Peak Ambassador for History graduate students and Philosophy alumni. She joined to help in the revival of the graduate history journal in the fall of 2025 as an editorial board member.


Max Brown

Max Holmes has served on the editorial board since Fall 2025, working to publish the 4th and 5th editions. He is scheduled to complete an MA in History in May 2026 from UCCS, along with his BA in History earned at Colorado Mesa University in December 2023. Along with degree work, Max works part-time at the on-campus Excel Multiliteracy Center, supporting students with their oral and written communication skills. His areas of research interest emphasize the role of mass media, children’s media, popular culture, and mythologies in shaping historical events, focused on the Nineteenth and Twentieth Century Anglosphere and the United States. Max intends to pursue a further PhD in the field starting Fall 2027, with aims for a career as a professor or teacher while continuing to research and write.
